I had already explained why this town is so popular, but let’s dig deep and discover some of the cooler things that this town can offer its locals and visitors.
Facts and fun
Did you know that Panama City Beach has a year-round temperature of 74 degrees F? That is due to our sub-tropical climate and environment. St. Andrew’s Park was ranked in the number two spot on a list of the top ten beaches in the United States by TripAdvisor. It’s true what we say when you hear the world’s most beautiful beaches. The only deep water diving museum in the United States is located here in Panama City Beach. It’s named The Man in the Sea Museum. Also our town is considered the “Seafood Capital of the South” because of how many seafood restaurants there are. Also did you know the reasoning behind our “sugar white” sand? It’s actually quartz crystals from millions of years ago. The crystals got ground up so finely that it turned into a powder like sand and washed up on our beaches. That is why you can hear the ground squeak and crunch beneath you as you walk across our beaches.
